Mantle

Mantle is a personal task system run by one person, for one household, on their own computer. It keeps track of what needs doing, what's waiting on someone else, and what's coming up, so less has to be remembered.

It is not a service offered to the public, and there is no sign-up. Only its owner uses it.

Why it signs in to Google

• Calendar: to show the day ahead and notice clashes, and to add events to its own routines calendar.
• Gmail, read-only: to turn messages forwarded to its own mailbox into tasks.
• Drive and Sheets: for its own backups, and to record approved entries in the family's allowance ledgers.
